Advent and Christmas in Grayswood


Christmas in Grayswood will look a little different  this year. Some of our services will be on zoom, some of our carols will be hummed but we will still patiently wait through the days of Advent to celebrate the birth of Christ.

Grayswood Village - Advent Window Trail

From the 1st December there will be an Advent Window Trail around Grayswood Village.

Each day a new window will appear around the village on the theme of Christmas Carols.

A map will be available to show you where to look (copy in The Runner or download AdventTrailMap2020) or if you are staying at home you can still join in by clicking on the link below to see the windows that have been revealed so far.

Shop Window Competition

As we approach the most wonderful time of the year, the Parish of Haslemere & Grayswood is delighted to announce it will be holding a Christmas Shop Window Display Competition for the town......... and there are spectacular hamper prizes are to be won! 

The churches of All Saints Grayswood, St. Bartholomew, and St. Christopher, and in association with St. Stephens’s Shottermill, would like to support the whole community by sponsoring the competition, bringing festive cheer and encouraging footfall to our beloved shopping streets. Christingle Service - 24th December - 4 pm

This year our Christingle Crib service will be held on zoom. We will create our Christingles together during the service. Each element of a Christingle has a special meaning and helps to tell the Christian story. They are made with oranges wrapped in red tape, decorated with sweets and with a candle on the top.
