Ways of giving
Did you know that it costs more than £180 per day to run All Saints' Church?
A vital part of belonging is helping to ‘pay the bills’. Making a regular financial contribution to the work of the church is not only biblical but a very practical way of standing shoulder to shoulder with the whole church and demonstrating your commitment and support.
A full financial report, audited accounts and annual budget are published each year and made available at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. The elected PCC scrutinises and authorises expenditure throughout the year.
In addition, 10% of normal parish income is donated to charitable organisations. Occasionally we will also take up special offerings in the event of a disaster or for a specific campaign. These are taken in addition to regular giving.
Visitors to the church are under no obligation to give
The importance of giving in these difficult times
Take a look at this short video to see why donations to All Saints are so important at this time
In church on Sundays
The new card reader (GoodBox) will be in church on Sundays for you to make a contactless donation using your card.
The offertory bowl will be available at the back of church on a Sunday morning for your envelope and cash donations.
By BACS/bank transfer
Cash or cheque
If you prefer to make a donation by cheque (payable to All Saints Grayswood PCC), these can be sent to All Saints Parish Church, Grayswood Road, Grayswood, GU27 2DJ. Cheque or cash donations can be placed in a sealed envelopes in the post box in the porch.
By far the easiest and most tax-efficient form of giving, helpful for our own budget projections, is to set up a monthly Standing Order.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please fill in the Gift Aid declaration in order for us to claim back 25 pence for each pound donated (see below).
Please contact David Hutton 01428 644178 or email@example.com (Stewardship) for more information and to obtain a Gift Aid Form.
Gift Aid is a scheme which enables All Saints Grayswood to benefit by an additional 25p from every £1 that you give. In order for the Church to reclaim this additional money from HMRC, you need to satisfy the following conditions:
- You need to be a UK tax payer
- You need to have filled in a Gift Aid Registration Form and have returned it to the our Gift Aid Administrator - David Hutton (details on the form)
